Bread pudding with its own caramel sauce. Bread pudding is very delicious and such an easy pudding that tastes so yummy. It's one of the best desserts you can make with bread. This recipe with homemade the caramel sauce and it is an egg version. It tastes out of the world for me, maybe the chewy texture is what I like along with its flavor. The dish itself looks really magnificent and mouth-watering. Bread pudding is not a very sweet dish but it is sweet enough for a sweet craving. Kids will just love the fabulous taste of this delightful recipe. This pudding is prepared by the steaming method and hence no need oven in this recipe. What are the ingredients for caramel bread pudding?

Ingredients

For Caramel sauce
  1. Sugar-1/2 cup
  2. Water-1 tbsp
For Pudding
  1. Bread slices-3
  2. Milk-3/4 cup
  3. Egg-1
  4. Condensed milk-150 ml
  5. Vanilla essence-3 drops
  6. Butter-1 tbsp
  7. Sugar-1 tbsp
  8. Salt-1/4 tsp
Preparation
  • In a saucepan add sugar and water. Place the saucepan overheat.
  • Cook till you get a nice caramel color. Don't burn the sugar and switch off the flame. Now pour the sauce in a steel plate or pudding tray. Swirl the pan to spread the caramel sauce evenly over the bottom of the plate, allow it to cool.
  •  In a mixing, blender add bread slices, milk, egg, condensed milk, vanilla essence, butter, sugar, and salt, blend it well until getting a smooth batter.
  • Pour into the caramel-coated plate, cover it with foil paper and make 3 or 4 small wholes using with a tooth pic.
  • Place it into the steamer, close the steamer and steam for 40 minutes.
  • After removing from steamer, uncover the foil and cool the pudding slightly. Let cool in the refrigerator for at least 2 hours.
  • Then run a knife around the edges of the pan to loosen the pudding.
  • Caramel bread pudding is ready, slice and serve chilled.
