Homemade Tomato Ketchup, learn how to make your own ketchup in this simple to follow. A tangy, sweet tomato-based condiment which is basically served as accompaniment with either snacks, starters or appetizers. This home-made no preservative Tomato Sauce recipe would not loved by kids, even adults would enjoy with favorite snacks. Here we are adding vinegar for increasing shelf life, you must keep the sauce in the fridge and use it within a month.

How to make Tomato Sauce?

What are the ingredients for Tomato Sauce?


Tomato-6 {ripped}
Kashmiri chilly powder-1/2 tsp
Sugar-3 tbsp
Salt to taste
vinegar-3 tbsp


Firstly, blanch the tomatoes in enough water. Take well-ripped tomatoes.

Cover and boil for 3 minutes until the skin separate from tomatoes.

Switch off the flame

Cooldown the tomatoes completely, and transfer to the blender.

Puree the tomatoes without adding any water.
Strain the mixture using a strainer.

Transfer to the tomato mixture into a deep non-stick pan, stir and boil the mixture well

Make sure to stir occasionally, to prevent from burning.
Add chilly powder, sugar, and salt to taste

Keep stirring till the tomato puree thickens.

also cook the mixture without any water and turns thick.
Add vinegar, as they act as preservative.
mix well and check for seasoning. Switch off the flame finally, transfer the Tomato Sauce or Tomato Ketchup once cooled completely.
